ANNA MELTON

Hip Hop Coach

Anna Melton began dancing at the age of 3 and has experienced a range of dance styles: Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Pom, and Contemporary. Her favorite to teach, and most skilled, is Hip Hop! Anna attended Fallston High school, where she started participating in team competitions her sophomore year and competed within the styles of Jazz & Lyrical. Later, she attended Stevenson University and competed with the dance team at UDA within the styles of Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. She then transferred to Towson University, where she participated, and helped choreograph different performances with SOUL, which later transitioned to VIBE dance team. She graduated in 2019 with her Bachelor’s Degree in

Special Education. Anna has choreographed and coached for different teen competitions, as well as taught numerous mini, kid & teen hip hop classes. Her passion for dance and teaching has lead her to start her own program, “Display N’ Create”, to display the art of dance for others and create emotions to build connections. Anna is a Special Educator at the Ridge Ruxton School in BCPS. She started as a classroom teacher for 3 years and is currently in her 2nd year as a Vocational teacher. Anna teaches life and work skills to middle/high school students, as well as Social/SEL Skills to elementary/intermediate students. In addition to being a Special Educator & Choreographer, Anna enjoys playing football (Running Back) for the Baltimore Nighthawks, a local women’s tackle football team.
