DEJA DUNCAN

Strength & Conditioning Coach | Certified Personal Trainer

Deja's love and passion for fitness stemmed from her active lifestyle of swimming and dancing growing up. As a dancer, she trained and competed with multiple instructors, notably, under Katie Walker and Katie Scott at the Underground Dance Academy until graduating from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 2012, where she was also apart of their dance team. During her time at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD), she discovered fitness as a way to remain active outside of dance while being on Revolutions Dance Ensemble and then Prima Dolls Dance Team. After graduating from UMD where she pursued a degree in BioEngineering, she embarked on her journey to become a

Certified Personal Trainer and starting Engineered 4 Fit,LLC. Through her company, she is dedicated to encouraging others through the world of fitness. Deja is Currently a Full Time Systems Engineer, Graduate student at Johns Hopkins University and Personal Trainer for Engineered 4 Fit. She is beyond excited to join the Project 3 team as our Strength and Conditioning Coach. As a coach, Deja’s primary goal is to inspire the dancers at Project 3 to learn how to use discipline, consistency and hard work to push beyond their limits and strive to get stronger every day, ultimately, pushing to become a better version of theirselves. She is elated to begin working with our dancers and hopes to mentor and encourage them to use the fundamentals and lessons learned in their sessions together, not only in dance, but as part of an active and healthy lifestyle.
