ABI EBERMAN
Ballet & Technique Coach
Abi has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She has trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, tap, and lyrical. At age 13, she really fell in love with ballet and made it her primary dance focus at Mid Atlantic Youth Ballet. Abi has trained at various summer intensives including Nashville Ballet School and Joffrey Ballet School NYC. She has performed roles including Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, and Dew Drop in The Nutcracker, The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, the Winter Fairy in Cinderella, and the Woodland Glade Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. She graduated in December 2020 from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in
Human Development and Nonprofit Leadership and Social Innovation. While at UMD, Abi danced with the university’s student-run organization, Ballet Company M and served as the Ballet Mistress, Artistic Director, and Executive Director over the years.
During her time with Ballet Company M, she discovered her love for teaching and choreographing. Abi has been teaching since 2021 at studios across Maryland and Virginia. Abi graduated from George Mason University in May 2023 with her Master’s degree in School Psychology. During graduate school, she also danced professionally as a company member of Ash & Elm Dance Company, based in Dumfries, VA. Currently, she performs in Charm City Ballet’s full-length productions.
Abi strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment in her dance classes. She believes in giving dancers a space to explore movement and try new things while providing support and guidance to promote personal growth. Abi is so excited to teach ballet for all of the hard-working dancers at Project 3 Dance Company!
